About Me Link to heading

I’m an AI/ML Engineer and Data Scientist based in New York City with over a decade of experience building and scaling machine learning systems that solve real-world problems. My work focuses on end-to-end development; from designing data pipelines and training models to deploying production systems spanning optimization, econometrics, entity resolution, geospatial analysis, marketing and AutoML .

I’ve spent much of my career working with distributed systems (Spark in Python and Scala), building high-performance data and ML pipelines that power applications at scale. More recently, my focus has shifted toward generative AI and LLM-powered systems, where I’ve been developing tools and applications that drive efficiency. Along the way, I’ve led teams, trained 80+ data scientists, built platforms used by 100+ data scientists, and contributed to systems that drive business value.

I hold a PhD in PhD in Computational Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin where my research focused on numerical methods in semiconductor physics with applications to Solar Energy. That background continues to shape how I approach problems today by combining strong mathematical intuition with practical engineering.

Outside of work, I have served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary since 2021. For 17 years, I was a competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete and coach, winning the world championships in 2012 and a first-degree black belt in 2015. These experiences still influence how I think about growth, learning, leadership and teamwork.
